This handmade sterling silver pendant is inspired by the ancient stone steps of Skellig Michael, one of Ireland’s most remarkable early monastic sites. Perched off the Kerry coast, the island was settled by monks in the 6th century who sought isolation and spiritual focus, withdrawing from the world into a harsh and remote landscape.
To reach the higher ground, the monks carved steep steps directly into the rock—structures that still stand today as a testament to endurance, devotion and craftsmanship. These forms are echoed in the design of this piece, reflecting both strength and quiet determination.
Crafted in sterling silver and hallmarked by the Dublin Assay Office, the pendant captures the texture and rhythm of stone, combining bold structure with a refined, wearable finish.
